TOGAF and DoDAF: Enterprise Architecture's Power Couple (11:59 minutes)
TOGAF and DoDAF, where have they been? Where are they going? And why do
they need to relate to one another more these days? "I think we're
seeing the state of industry advance and looking at trying to have the
federal government, both United States and abroad, embrace global
industry standards for EA work," said Armstrong Process Group's Chris
Armstrong.

Today's Story Highlights
CERN Researchers May Have Hooked Higgs
After years of searching, particle physicists say they have all but
certainly pinned down the elusive Higgs boson. Popularly known as the
"God particle," this boson will help provide a better understanding of
how most of the particles of nature acquire their mass, improving
physicists' understanding of the universe.

Android Botnet May Be Spewing Spam
An international botnet could be using infected Android handsets to send
out massive amounts of spam, said Microsoft antispam engineer Terry
Zink. He reportedly identified the botnet and its Google Android
connection by examining the headers of spam that included the signature
"Sent from Yahoo! Mail on Android."

Put That Old GSM Dongle Back to Work
If you've been accumulating redundant, carrier-locked communications
hardware like phones and data cards, and have been stuffing them all
into a drawer likely never to be used again, you can repurpose some of
it and realize some cost savings. Modem data cards, sometimes called
"dongles," or "data sticks," are well suited to this repurposing.

Desktop Matchmaking in Linux Land
Well it's been a few years since Linux Girl has had the pleasure of
writing about dating in the Linux world -- always one of her favorite
topics! -- but recently the topic came up again, albeit with a slight
twist. Specifically, in a recent article over at Datamation, it wasn't
so much human-to-human matchmaking being discussed as it was pairing of
the human-to-desktop kind.

iMacs May Be Next on Apple's Retina List
Apple is gearing up production of the next generation of all-in-one iMac
computers for release in October, according to a recent report. They
will supposedly be equipped with Retina displays in a bid to outdo the
competition, which is hot on Apple's heels with a combination of
stronger focus on the all-in-one PC market and the coming of Windows 8.
