Facebook has teamed up with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to
help bring emergency counseling services to members in need. The
partnership aims to provide Facebook with the ability to spot comments
or material users post that could be indications of severe distress.

NTSB: Hands-on, Hands-free, Whatever - Just Hang Up and Drive
The agency charged with making U.S. highways safe for drivers has called
for a national ban on the use of personal electronic devices while
operating a motor vehicle, including many hands-free devices. The five-
member National Transportation Safety Board made its call for the ban on
Tuesday as it released a summary of its report on a pile-up in Gray
Summit, Mo.

Higgs Boson May Be Running Out of Hiding Places
Scientists are getting very close to proving or disproving the existence
of the subatomic particle known as the "Higgs boson." The list of
possible hiding spots for the Higgs boson particle has been narrowed
down, according to teams carrying out experiments at CERN's Large Hadron
Collider in Geneva Switzerland. The existence of Higgs boson -- also
know as the "God particle" -- is key to explaining why there is mass in
the universe.
