How Enterprise App Stores Are Whipping Up Productivity (41:01 minutes)
As new devices like smartphones appear in users' hands, enterprise IT
needs to find new techniques for application delivery. Enterprise app
stores have proven to be an effective way to track, manage and
distribute software. What are the steps businesses can now take to build
and develop their own enterprise app store?

Today's Story Highlights
Behold, the Windows Store Cometh
Microsoft will begin accepting submissions for the Windows Store, its
Windows 8 app store, when it unveils its Windows 8 public beta in late
February. It also invited applications from devs to submit applications
using the Metro-style touch user interface for inclusion in the Windows
Store.

Tablets in the Enterprise: Still a Blank Slate
It's about time to change the stereotypical tablet user from casual and
hipster to high-management. The post-PC world is now; tablets and other
mobile devices are beginning to dominate the marketplace. An estimated
45 million tablets will be sold in 2011, three times the number sold in
2010, according to BMO. With that explosion in popularity, it is no
surprise they are making their way into the enterprise environment.

Tomboy's Got Some Major Note-Taking Muscle
Small packages can be deceptive, especially when it comes to evaluating
desktop note-taking systems. Tomboy Notes can easily fool you into
thinking you need a bigger, more powerful note-taking app. But the
latest stable version 1.8.3 released on Nov. 14 offers enough heavy-duty
features that you will not need to look elsewhere to organize your notes
and track your daily activities.

Motorola Sends Xyboard on iPad Hunt
Motorola has announced two new Droid tablets, both of which will run on
Verizon's 4G LTE network. The Xyboard 10.1 and 8.2 will be available
this month, both online and at Verizon Wireless stores. The 10.1 will
have a stylus and will come in three models, with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB
of storage.

Bringing Tasty E-Food Safely to Your Doorstep
Someone in the mood for a steak can always go down to the grocery store
or head out to a restaurant to get one. However, some shoppers prefer to
stay home, go online, place an order, and wait for a couple of days for
a frozen steak to appear on their doorstep, packed tightly in a
Styrofoam container with dry ice.
