Today's Story Highlights

Big Mango Falls From HTC's Tree
HTC has shown off its first two smartphones running Mango, Microsoft's
upcoming update for its Windows Phone mobile operating system. The
new devices, the Titan and the Radar, are being shown to some consumers
in London, Paris, Madrid and Berlin. The Titan has a 4.7-inch display --
much larger than a typical smartphone's display and more than 30 percent
larger than the iPhone 4's 3.5-inch screen.

The Amazon Tablet: Lying, Waiting, Learning?
The HP TouchPad's demise and semi-resurrection seems to have lent new
strength to rumors that Amazon is working on its own tablet. Some rumors
hold that Amazon will offer one tablet; others contend it will offer
two. The speculation is that Amazon will sell the hardware at a loss and
make up for that through selling content, which it has in abundance.

iPhone 4 Sole Survivor of Blazing BB Gun Assault
I recently carried out an experiment to help determine which company
manufactures the strongest glass digitizer screens. My test: I shot the
screens with a cheap BB Gun. The first round was with the screen taped
to a wall. The next was in a box with no backing. At the end, I just
repeatedly tried to smash the screen on the corner of a desk. Like I
said, this was really scientific.

Mozilla Targets Tablets With New Browser Designs
The Mozilla Foundation is enhancing the tablet version of its Firefox
browser. It's leveraging Android Honeycomb but retaining familiar visual
elements of Firefox such as the signature big back button and
distinctive tab shape, according to a blog post by Ian Barlow, who works
on Mozilla's mobile user experience team.

WikiLeaks Stews in Its Own Juice
Another global security mess is in the making, on the heels of the
publication of thousands of sensitive security documents obtained by
WikiLeaks. However, in this particular instance, WikiLeaks insists it
didn't mean to do it. Last week, WikiLeaks reportedly made some 134,000
diplomatic cables available.
