Disaster Recovery: Not Just for Catastrophes Anymore (21:39 minutes)
Having a comprehensive disaster recovery system in place doesn't just
come in handy when calamity strikes. "We're starting to move now into a
slightly different world, but it has been the catalyst of DR that's
enabled [business units] to start thinking in these new ways, which they

Motorola Scores a Courtroom Coup in Germany
Today in international tech news: Germany grants Motorola a big victory
against Microsoft. Elsewhere, the U.S. Office of Trade Representatives
says that 99 percent of all music downloads in China are illegal, a
French group goes to court because Google's autocomplete suggests that
"Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm is Jewish, and China plays cat-and-mouse with
the myriad terms used to discuss dissident Chen Guangcheng.

LMMS Is a Fearsome Music-Making Machine
Music lovers have numerous strong choices for organizing and playing
their collections of songs on the Linux desktop. But music creators have
far fewer professional-strength options among Linux applications. With
Linux MultiMedia Studio, or LMMS, though, one option may be all you
really need. LMMS does it all and does it all well.

Facebook's Organ Donor Assist Likely to Play Well on the Street
The numbers reflecting the state of organ donation in the U.S. paint a
mostly grim picture. There are 114,183 people waiting for an organ -- 18
of whom will die each day, according to DHHS. However, Facebook just
added another number to the mix: 900 million -- its user base. In a new
initiative, Facebook is encouraging its users to share their organ donor
status.
