Today's Story Highlights

What's Eating Internet Security?
It's a given that hackers can and do penetrate websites with laughable
ease, ranging from those of retailers to those of the United States
government. It certainly doesn't help the security-minded to know that
the U.S. National Security Agency and other countries' spy agencies,
including the UK's GCHQ and the West German intelligence agency, are
tapping into online communications at will.

Super Smash Bros. Packs In 3 More Fighters
Blockbuster fighting game series Super Smash Bros. is expanding its
ranks with the addition of three new characters. The fourth title in the
series will continue the tradition of pitting characters from a string
of Nintendo franchises against each other. The latest to join the cast
are Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Captain Falcon of
F-Zero fame.

Is Firefox in a Fix?
It's been difficult to hear ourselves think here in the Linux
blogosphere lately, what with all the distractions that have been thrown
our way. We've had the NSA casting aspersions on Linux users; we've had
the IRS looking askance at FOSS. We've even had the well-respected Tor
Project sucked into a lawsuit over revenge porn, of all things. Ready
for the latest?
